Driving Lessons

 Don't just learn to pass the road test, but learn to be a safe driver.

          What we want for our students:  Our goal is to teach SAFETY.  It isn't difficult to pass a short driving test, but it is difficult to learn how to navigate real-world roads that have many dangers and distractions.  We want to impress upon our students safe habits and skills that can save not only their own lives but also the lives of others when behind the wheel. 

          All lesson packages are taught in our school vehicles. Our driving school compact cars are safe and easy to learn in. Our vehicles are state-licensed, commercially insured, and equipped with passenger brakes to ensure our instructors can provide the safest and most stress-free learning environment possible. We move at the pace of our students and will prioritize their safety over a set curriculum. At the end of each 2 hour lesson, the student receives an assessment printout detailing what they worked on, what they have mastered, and what they still need to practice on. Thank you in advance for partnering with us to ensure your safety while learning how to drive. 
        
          All of our drivers will receive an insurance reduction certificate upon successful completion of a driving package. (Please call your insurance ahead of time to inquire about their terms as we cannot guarantee your insurance carrier will accept this, though most do.)


         What counties/cities do we serve?   We offer door-to-door service to Flagler County. Starting March 31, 2025, we will offer door-to-door service for the following zip codes in the Saint Augustine area: 32084, 32080, and 32086 


       Do you offer Certificates for an insurance discount?  When a student has completed a plan of at least 6 hours with us, they can request a certificate from Drive and Shine to present to their car insurance policyholder. (We cannot guarantee that your insurance will honor the certificate, though most do). To request a certificate, please call or text us at 386.264.3996.
