Drive and Shine's Lesson Policy
If the lesson policy is not signed online prior to the first lesson and the student is under the age of 18, the parent/legal guardian MUST be present at the start of the first lesson to sign the paperwork.
Students must be on time for one-on-one driving lessons. If a student is unable to attend a scheduled driving lesson Monday through Friday, they must notify Drive and Shine by calling 386-264-3996 no later than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson’s start time. If your lesson is scheduled on the weekend, the student must notify Drive and Shine no later than 5:00PM on Thursday. This will avoid forfeiture of the lesson and any fees paid. If a student fails to cancel according to policy, there will be two options. One: you forfeit the lesson or Two: you may reschedule, but will incur a rescheduling fee of $70. Charges are non-refundable.
Disruptive behavior or misconduct will not be tolerated. Drive and Shine prohibits the possession, consumption, or use of any alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs.
Drive and Shine requests that all driver education students be clothed in comfortable and appropriate attire. Students may not operate a training vehicle with...
-
Flip flops
-
Sandals
-
High heels
-
Barefoot
-
Shorts or skirts shorter than 3 inches from the knee
-
Low-cut, strapless, or halter-style blouses and/or tops.
In the event of sickness and/or hospitalization, the student must present a doctor's statement written on the physician’s letterhead confirming the illness.
All plans have an expiration date. As our focus is on creating safe drivers, students get the most training and experience through their lessons when they are scheduled closer together. Our recommendation is 1-2 lessons per week. Please pay attention to your expiration date as all lessons will need to be scheduled by then.
Children or guests will not be permitted to ride with the student during driving sessions.
Students must bring their Learner’s License with them for scheduled driving lessons. It will be checked and documented before beginning the lesson.
